When designing these crates a problem quickly arose- the width of the crate and standard doorways. The Benson Crate comes with a REMOVABLE TOP to squeeze through the doorways without sacrificing a comfortable living space for your pup. Nothing like saving a little paint for the walls on delivery day. It is also is a lifesaver for those times the inside of your crate might need a little sprucing up after being lived in a few years.
Our Roots
Fosbenner Woodworking Company is a company devoted to creating sustainable wood products that will be loved for generations. Kyle Fosbenner, co-founder with Jessica Fosbenner, began woodworking in 2014. Researching the craft through authors such as R. Bruce Hoadley, of “Understanding Wood,” and sharing ideas with other local craftsman, the craft became more of a lifestyle than just a hobby.
At FWCo our greatest goal is almost paradoxical- create beautiful practical products from something that was once living. Who can make something better than that which was once alive?
Our Mission
We make it our business to make sure our products respect the source it came from. We aim to create as little a footprint as possible so that trees aren’t being cut down frivolously. Especially those that can’t be replaced in our lifetimes. In order to do this we use readily available and fast growing lumber such as pine and furniture grade plywood.
From time to time we will use other woods that are more rare but only under the notion that we know where the wood came from and why the tree was taken down.
